What training, education and experience do you have?
My bachelor's degree in psychology helps navigate those more delicate emotional aspects of nerves and family matters that arise while planning weddings and other personal events. In the spirit of continued educations, I regularly attend classes, meetings and seminars in the wedding industry. I completed professional bridal consultant training with honors through the Association of Bridal Consultants in August of 2010.
I have also been part of a huge multicultural festival every year since 2009. The Kent International Festival showcases the diversity in Kent WA and the surrounding areas. In the first few years, I scheduled 20 to 40 performers to entertain on two stages. Around 2012 I began working with sponsors and writing grants to support our festival. In 2018 I helped bring this festival to nonprofit status. In 2020, we did our first virtual livestreamed festival for two hours online due to COVID. In 2022, we succeeded in holding the festival in person again.

When you hire Simply Celebrations & Events, you hire me, the owner. The week of your wedding, my attention is on you as a couple. Although you will have fun working with me, I want you to know that I take working on your wedding very seriously and very much to heart! My love for all the details and a natural talent for multi-tasking translates well to the successful coordination of weddings and events. Those qualities, along with a proven ability to network and utilize available resources, will result in a beautiful wedding planning experience for you.
Who do you work with the best?
My favorite couples to work with have opinions and are not afraid to express them. You know what you want. You want to be actively involved in your wedding planning and you want an expert to help you plan it. You want to personalize your wedding day in more than one way. Your vision of your wedding day is that it will be a little slice of who you both are as people. You are unique, honest and down to earth. You are generally a happy person and appreciative of your future spouse. You may live somewhere else in the US but you are getting married here in Washington State.
Does Simply Celebrations & Events take credit cards and are there payment plans available?
I do take debit/credit cards, checks, ACH and of course cash. Together with each client, I will work out a payment plan that is mutually agreed upon for any packaged service. Debit or credit cards ad ACH payments will have a fee.
What do I do next to get started?
The best way for us to get started working together is to call me on the phone or connect via email using my contact form. From here, we can schedule a time to meet in person (if you live in the Puget Sound area) and discuss your plans in greater detail. This first one hour meeting is at no charge for you. I am also happy to set up a Zoom call if you live out of state. Once we decide to work together, I send you a contract agreement and a request for your first payment (non-refundable). We both sign the contract, and both get a copy. Let's work together to plan your wedding!
